Chamber furnaces are generally designed for the batch processing of products. In industrial furnace construction, this refers to the way in which the goods to be heat-treated are statically processed in an enclosed space. This means there is no continuous flow in which the product is treated in different tempering zones via transport or conveyor systems, as is the case with a continuous oven. The various methods in the field of batch furnaces are as follows:
Basic chamber furnace
The basic chamber furnace represents the simplest method of constructing an industrial furnace in direct comparison to other furnace designs. The main focus here is above all on the uniform temperature treatment of the product itself. This furnace construction differs from the others in that no additional equipment is explicitly required for the process.
Top loader furnace: The design and method of construction of a top-loader furnace, or hinged lid furnace, is similar to that of a basic chamber furnace in many respects. The key difference here lies in the opening element of the plant. In addition to the doors, which provide access to the usable space of the plant, it is also possible to mount the opening elsewhere. This can be appropriate, for example, for heavy components that are to be transported down into the plant from above using a crane. In this way, we provide you with a solution intended to make this insertion of the components into the plant as easy as possible.
Bogie hearth furnace
The bogie hearth furnace gets its name from the mobile frame, which can be operated either manually or electrically on a horizontal plane in two process paths. Comparable to the process of the top-loader furnace, the objective here is to provide a solution for moving the components, depending on the size or shape, into the target position for heat treatment as easily as possible. Unlike the top-loader furnace, however, the opening of the bogie hearth furnace is on the same side as the opening elements of the plant. The bogie can be designed with virtually any product-specific supports or component tracks. In addition, the loading capacity is almost unlimited.
Drawer furnace
For smaller components that are to be treated continuously below a certain temperature, we can warmly recommend our drawer furnace. A special feature of this furnace design is that multiple products can be processed in different chambers with different temperature ranges. These drawers function as standalone sections, which means that the openings of the drawers operate automatically.
Hood-type furnace
The concept of the hood-type furnace with a vertical travel path gives you a very good idea of what this type of furnace is all about. In this case, however, there is no special equipment attached to the plant, as is the case with the bogie hearth furnace; instead, the furnace itself is operated in two directions of travel. This facilitates even greater flexibility in positioning the components than with the predecessors mentioned above, as the component can be placed into position from all sides.
Stacking furnace
Do you need multiple plants or chambers, but have little room for manoeuvre with regard to space requirements? This is precisely where our stacking furnaces can be used. As the name suggests, multiple housings are stacked vertically on top of one another to save as much space as possible. In essence, this is generally multiple basic chamber furnaces that are designed to work together.
Rotary table furnace
The rotary table furnace is just as space-saving as our stacking furnace. In a rotary table furnace, the components are placed on one level in the furnace, which moves continuously in a circle. This is driven by a column in the middle of the furnace chamber. The great advantage of a rotary table furnace in contrast to the other furnace designs is that a higher number of components can be heat-treated simultaneously thanks to the multiple moving levels. The circular movements can thus also further enhance the uniform temperature distribution. Furthermore, components with different cycle times can be processed in one furnace chamber: no “first in – first out”.
Custom furnaces
As the name suggests, we manufacture everything entirely in accordance with your requirements, and the special requirements of your process and/or location. We are happy to provide support here with our many years of experience and expertise. With that said, we are always open to new ideas, and we work together with you to develop the right concept.
Custom equipment
Our various furnace designs in the field of batch furnaces feature a diverse range of special equipment which differentiates each type from the other. This includes first and foremost our opening elements. Wing doors, lifting gates with and without escape doors or even automatically operating gates are just a few examples here. In addition, you can opt for either manual or electrical operation when selecting the trolley. Installations aimed at your protection can also be implemented, such as fire protection systems or a gas warning device that ensures the operation of the plant with a considerably lower exhaust air volume inside the furnace, all of which combine to form the overall plant.
Regardless of the choices you make in the design of your products: You will receive from us a high quality industrial furnace tailored to your needs, ensuring your satisfaction in the outcome.
